    The Highest Honor of Military & Aerospace Electronic Innovators Awarded to SGRB DC-DC Converter of VPT

    VPT Inc has announced that its GaN-based SGRB series of DC-DC converters has been awarded the Military & Aerospace Electronics Innovators Awards Platinum recognition. This honor is awarded to those companies in the aerospace and defense industry who have made exceptional contributions towards solving design challenges.

    The SGRB series of DC-DC converters are designed specifically for the harsh radiation environments of space applications. With the use of advanced GaN-based technology, the SGRB series was developed to provide a solution that increases power supply efficiency that will result in reduced system size, weight, and cost. The GaN technology with about 95% efficiency will offer great efficiency in comparison to traditional radiation-hardened silicone products. The design is mainly for space-borne telecommunications where high efficiency, low noise, and radiation tolerance are imperative.
