Dry-use chopped strand refers to short lengths of glass fibers that are specifically designed for dry processing methods such as compression molding, injection molding, or extrusion, without the use of water or liquid binders.

These strands are made by chopping continuous glass filaments (usually E-glass or S-glass) into short segments, typically 3 to 12 mm in length, and are coated with a special sizing or coupling agent that enhances compatibility with thermoplastic or thermoset resins.
